CircuitVision announced the latest release of it's CircuitVision Software. Some of the new features in version 8.6 include:

Access Service Request Ordering System

  • OBF Compliant with scheduled industry upgrades in support of the latest ASOG versions.
  • Robust, tightly integrated ASR Order and Tracking System which can be configured by ICSC to use either CircuitVision’s capabilities to process ASR orders by print, email or fax or to use CircuitVision’s web services to interface with a third party ASR broker system to process ASR orders.
  • ASR’s can be entered and tracked as inbound orders, associated with the receipt of a Service Order Request, or as outbound orders, associated with the provisioning of a circuit.
  • Additional Functionality includes the ability to enter and track Billing Related Detail associated with an ASR.
  • Optional functionality includes end-to-end, XML based web services available for interfacing with a broker system.

Web Services/Open Standards

  • Documented and published XML makes new development quick and easy and is customizable by our customers.
  • QBE – Open standard Data extract via published XML.
  • QTek – “As Built” functionality for Field Operations, view Install Doc, Acknowledge, Complete work, save and send Notes.
  • ASR – XML based service to interface with a third party broker for processing ASR’s or print, fax, email directly to your partner.

Core System Enhancements

  • Service Orders:
    • Order processing made simple. Order, Product and Services functionality are streamlined
    • Ability to recall and attach services and circuits to Change and Disconnect Orders..
  • Workflow:
    • Additional automated services to facilitate LOA/CFA and MSA processing and tracking.
    • Working in the “Que” made simple. New and enhanced Que Services.
  • Network:
    • Ability to Spawn Network Engineering Orders during the Circuit Design process. Provisioning these support services is integrated and tracked on the customer order.
    • Plug-in Control and Move Request modules are integrated with Facility Links assignments.
    • NE/TID Report integrates Equipment and Network reports to present Shelves, Plug-in Cards, Circuits and Facilities assignments, Spares, Circuit Path graphics and Circuit Design.
  • GUI:
    • Data Lookup made friendlier by using descriptions and additional search criteria throughout the system.
  • RSS:
    • Performance enhancements for the Warehousing and Reporting Subsystem. Dictionaries, ASR's and Billing data are now included with the data extract.
